In Memory of Owen Lee Oldham

Posted by on January 29, 2012 with 0 Comments

October 13, 1924-January 28, 2012

Owen Lee Oldham passed from this life into the loving arms of his Savior January 28, 2012. He was born October 13, 1924 in Lindsay, CA. to Tom and Myrtle O’Dell Oldham. He was raised in Northeastern Oklahoma in Bluejacket with his two brothers and three sisters. He married Cathylene Pulliam in 1947 and would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this April.

Owen served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for more than two decades then had second career in civil service at Tinker Air Force Base.

Beyond faith, family and friends, Owen had a passion for life. He was an avid fisherman, reader, gardener and handyman. He taught us to do for ourselves, praise God and to give back in an selfless manner. We will miss his sharp wit, dry humor and hearing stories from his past.

Owen is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Cathylene Pulliam Oldham. Children include Sue Loftis-Siegriest and her husband Richard, sons Mark Oldham and Ronald Oldham with his wife Mechelle, all of Oklahoma City. Two sisters, Doris Winfield and husband Loron and Imogene Snodgrass, and sister-in-law Earline Oldham live in Tulsa. Another sister, Treva McDonald, resides in California. Sister-in-law Ruby Brannon resides in Denver, CO.

Owen also has an extended family of special people that have meant the world to him over the years. First and foremost, they include great-granddaughter Meagan Boggs and her father David Boggs and grandson David Loftis with his wonderful wife Melissa and sons Matthew and Carter, as well as most recently “adopted” son Nathan White and his wife Tina and daughter Scarlet.

A large and loving group of nieces and nephews and their children plus a multitude of dear friends mourn his passing and give thanks for his life, as do all who have known him over the years.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Meadowood Baptist Church, 2816 North Woodcrest Drive, Midwest City, OK 73110-1599, (405) 737-7684 under the direction of Ford Funeral Home, Midwest City, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masters Market at Meadowood Baptist Church, The Jail Ministry, The Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.

This is why you need an A/C cage

We recently got a call from a church who had 3 of their 5 air conditioners obliterated by copper thieves. YES, A CHURCH! No one is safe from copper theft, not even churches.

We are currently building 2 custom air conditioner cages to protect their other 2 intact A/C units.
